"We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of your love for all the saints; because of the hope which is laid up for you in heaven..." (Colossians 1:3-5; NKJV).
The Spirit led Paul and Timothy to give thanks for the Colossians in Colossians 1:3-5 for two reasons:
1. Their faith in Christ Jesus. They were convicted in their minds that He was the Anointed of God. They trusted Him to save them when they obeyed the gospel. They were about the business of surrendering their wills to His.
2. Their love for all the saints. They didn't just love one another. They loved all the saints. They loved saints they had never even seen in the flesh.
Put your faith in Christ Jesus. Love all the saints. Give thanks for "saints and faithful brethren in Christ" (Colossians 1:1).

Hidden in My Heart
"For I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD. Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where are you. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt." (Exodus 12:12-13; NKJV)

Sunday Morning Starters
Look up. It’s His day.
Look up. It’s His worship.
Look up. It’s His assembly.
Look up. Self gets too much attention.
Look up. At Him, not your neighbor.
Look up. You won’t go where you’re not aimed.

Keep: My Part
Then Jesus said to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life" (John 8:12; NJKV).
My Prayer: Keep me where the light is...
My Part
I am to attend carefully to His commandments. I am to observe His will. I am to keep my eye upon His loving desires for my life.
I am to "keep" His commandments (John 14:15). If I know Him, I will "keep" His commandments (1 John 2:3). I "keep" myself in His love through obedience to Him (Jude 21).
He will do His part. Will I do mine? "Keep me where the light is..."

My Prayer: Keep me where the light is...

GOD "keeps" me. He watches over me. He guards me. He helps me avoid some things. He actively "keeps" His loving eye upon me.
He "keeps" me from the evil one (2 Thessalonians 3:3). He "keeps" what I've committed to Him (2 Timothy 1:12). He "keeps" me from stumbling (Jude 24).
He will do His part.
