Jesus: The Reason for All Seasons

“For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power” (Colossians 2:9-10; NKJV).

Creation! Jesus is the reason for all seasons because of who He is. Each season praises the One who brought it forth! Jesus is so much more than a babe in a manger. He is “the image of the invisible God” (Colossians 1:15; NKJV). By Jesus “all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers” (Colossians 1:16; NKJV). Everything “was created through Him and for Him” (Colossians 1:16; NKJV). He was before the manger, “and in Him all things consist” (Colossians 1:17; NKJV). He is the reason for all seasons because He is the Maker!

Redemption! Jesus is the reason for all seasons because of what He did. He is the “lamb without blemish and without spot” (1 Peter 1:19; NKJV). We have “redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins” (Colossians 1:14; NKJV). Worship, thanksgiving, and praise fill every season because of the “riches of His grace” (Ephesians 1:7; NKJV). He is the reason for all seasons because He is the Redeemer!

My Response! This season and every season Jesus is worthy of being glorified! He is worthy of praise because He created us! He is worthy of praise because He redeemed us! We were “bought at a price,” the precious blood of Jesus (1 Corinthians 6:20). Let us glorify Jesus in our bodies and in our spirits not just one day, or one season a year, but daily as He gives “life, breath, and all things” (Acts 17:25; NKJV).

“I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth” (Psalm 34:1; NKJV).
