The Rare Jewel of Contentment

Lawrence Kelly preached for us last Wednesday night. His lesson was called "The Rare Jewel of Contentment." Here are some lessons I learned.

1. Contentment has to do with being satisfied.

2. We should learn to savor what is instead of longing for what might be.

3. Life is never "full enough."

4. Paul's contentment was not rooted in what he had.

5. Paul's contentment was not found in himself.

6. Paul's contentment was located in Who he knew (see Philippians 4:13).

7. Christ's grace is sufficient (see 2 Corinthians 12:9-10).

8. Christ's justice is flawless (Paul was in prison under false charges).

9. Christ's love is enough.
